Caladium hortulanum Heart to Heart® 'Raspberry Moon'
Fancy Leaf Caladium
USPP 20,069
What’s the difference between fancy leaf caladiums and strap leaf caladiums? Fancy leaf caladiums have heart shaped leaves since their stem is attached near the middle of the leaf. Generally, they have an upright habit, are shade tolerant, and are more sensitive to cold temperatures. Fancy leaf caladiums need to be brough in for the winter before temperatures drop below 60° F. Strap leaf caladiums on the other hand have arrow shaped leaves since their stem is attached closer to the edge of the leaf. Generally, they are more sun tolerant and a bit more cold tolerant than the fancy leaf varieties.
